Control Traction
The TuneZilla Stage 1 tune is available with boost by gear to optimize the GTI's limited FWD traction. For owners who want to maximize traction and drivability in their GTI, our BBG increases boost incrementally throughout 1st, 2nd, and 3rd gears. The MK8 platform is so receptive to upgrades that traction becomes an issue even with a Stage 1 tune. By using our Boost By Gear file, you can increase drivetrain longevity as well as improve 0-60 times. For owners with manual gearboxes, this is also a great option to be used as a "clutch saver" tune. On DSG equipped cars, the torque level is within the capabilities of the DQ381.

Left Foot Braking
For enthusiast drivers, we also enable Left Foot Braking and increased the OEM exhaust crackles in Sport Mode.
Star/Stop Memory
The Start/Stop memory function saves the last position of the Start/Stop feature allowing users to turn OFF the start/stop feature and keeping it off between ignition cycles - Stock function is to automatically enable this feature every time the car is started.
The EVOlution
During our testing, we found that the MK8 GTI is not octane limited for Stage 1 tuning. Our Stage 1 tune is optimized for 91 Oct. To increase horsepower further, an intercooler upgrade is necessary. With the addition of an intercooler, users can take advantage of 93 Octane fuel and see a further increase in horsepower.
