FlashZilla Pro Dongle and TuneZilla Portal App.The FlashZilla Pro dongle is the easiest way to connect your vehicle to our Instatune Database to download ECU and TCU tunes. FZP connects to your vehicle via the OBD port and uses a Windows based laptop (Windows 10 or newer) with our TuneZilla Portal App installed. You can download the app here.FlashZilla Pro connects directly to InstaTune through the TuneZilla Portal app and allows users to search for compatible tunes from our extensive tune library. If you don't see a tune that works for your setup, you can request a custom tune right from the Tuning Portal. The FlashZilla Pro tool is not VIN locked, so you can use it to read and write multiple ECUs. You can even manage your tune library and organize the tunes you've downloaded, making it easy to select and flash the appropriate tune file for your desired fuel octanes or driving styles.Getting StartedThe TuneZilla Portal App is the interface that we use to Identify your vehicle, configure and download tunes from Instatune, and manage and flash your tunes to your vehicle. FlashZilla Pro tool requires an Windows computer to install and operate the TuneZilla Portal App. At this time, only Windows 10 or 11 computers with x86-/x64-based processors are supportedOnce the app is installed on your computer, you can login to your TuneZilla account - Make sure that you use the same login credentials that you use for tunezilla.com as your user account will be used to connect your tune credits to your TuneZilla Portal. It is important that you use the same username/login for TuneZilla Portal App and tunezilla.com. If you create a new/different user account in the Portal app, the Portal will not be able to link your purchases that you made at tunezilla.comIdentifying your VehicleBefore you can download a tune for your vehicle, TuneZilla Portal must read your ECU and identify your vehicle. If FlashZilla Pro is compatible with your ECU and TCU, it will automatically read both to identify your engine and your transmission. On some vehicles, the AWD module is also identified and can be tuned.Note: FlashZilla Pro is not VIN locked. Which means you can use FZP to identify and flash multiple vehicles. If you have multiple vehicles for one owner, you can use the same user account to tune all of your vehicles. If you create a new user account and then try to flash a vehicle that was tuned under a different user account, no tunes will show up in the new user account. You cannot flash a tune from one vehicle onto another vehicle. The tunes are configured to your user account as well as your vehicle’s ECU, you will not be able to flash multiple vehicles with the same tune or transfer them to another user account. Configuring a TuneOnce your vehicle and its modules have been identified, you will be taken to your Tuning Library. You will see a list of your supported modules and any Tunes that you have for them.At this point, your Tune Library has no Performance Tunes available. In each module, you will see an option to "Add a New Tune" as well as your Stock tune. To add a Tune to your vehicle's Tune Library, select the "GO" button on the desired Module. This will take you to the InstaTune library (web browser) where you can browse the available tunes for your ECU and any add-on features that you need. If you pre-purchased tune credits when you purchased your FlashZilla Pro, you will be able to redeem these tune credits when checking out. If you do not have any tune credits you can still proceed to the checkout screen and pay for your tune.Once the payment has been processed your tune will automatically be downloaded into your Tune Library on the TuneZilla Portal App. You will see it populated in the list of Tunes for that module. From here, you can continue to add another ECU Tune or TCU Tune following the above steps, or you can proceed to Flash your new Tune onto your vehicle.Flashing a TuneFrom your Tune Library, you can select the tune you want to flash by clicking on the grey circle beside name of the Tune file. FlashZilla Pro will only flash one tune onto one module at a time.A blue dot will highlight the tune file that will be written to your ECU or TCU.Now you can proceed to "Flash Selected File" and the TuneZilla Portal will begin the flashing process.Once the flash is complete it will show a Flash Complete screen with the name of the File that was just successfully flashed, you can now disconnect your FZP from the vehicle and start enjoying your extra horsepower, or you can continue to your Tuning Library to configure or flash more Tunes. If you have a TCU module that needs flashing, you can go back to the Tune Library to do that now.TIP: A blue car icon will appear beside the most recently flashed TuneNote: You can configure as many tunes as you want for your vehicle. Instatune gives you access to all of the cheaper priced tunes or equal priced tunes at no extra cost. If you need to upgrade your tune, you simply pay the price difference from the existing tune you have and the new tune. For example: If you purchase a Stage 2 tune for $649. You can download the Stage 1 tune for $0.00If you purchase a Stage 1 tune for $549. You can download the Stage 2 tune for $100.00 more.Request a TuneIf you do not see a tune that you are looking for, then this could be because your Box Code does not have any compatible tunes on the server yet, or you need a Custom Tune for your specific needs. You can request a tune from within the Instatune menu by clicking "I can't find the tune I need" - This can be used for Stage 1 or 2 files that you don't see, or for custom tuning that is not provided by Instatune.Requesting a Custom Tune:A "Custom Tuning" window will open and you will be prompted to list your hardware upgrades and any specifics you would like to have included in your tune such as Exhaust Crackles or Launch Control etc. Keep in mind that Custom Tuning requests need to be reviewed by the Calibrators prior to approval so you will need to be very detailed in your request. Requesting an advertised Stage 1 or 2 (Off The Shelf) Tune: If you are simply unable to find the advertised "Off the shelf" tune for your vehicle on the Instatune server (such as a Stage 1 or Stage 2 tune), just state any hardware upgrades and which advertised features/options you would like in your tune. Calibrators will prepare a Tune File for your vehicle on a first come, first serve basis.Submit your request. This will create a Tuning Ticket and automatically populate your vehicle's information for the Calibrators. You can always check on the Status of your Tune Request at tickets.tunezilla.comOnce the Calibrator has finished creating your tune, they will upload it to your ticket (and you will be notified via email) and it will automatically be populated in your TuneZilla Portal App (under purchased tunes) - If you don't see it in the app immediately, you may need to refresh your app before the tune will appear. If there is a balance owing on your tune request you will be prompted to pay before the tune will be accessible in your app.Tune File ManagementThe TuneZilla Portal App allows users to rename, download, or hide Tune files for easier file management. You can rename your tune files to suit your own naming/organization convention. You can download tunes so they will store locally on your device for remote flashing (without an internet connection), and you can also hide Tune Files that are no longer needed or older revisions that you don't want to confuse with newer file revisions.Right clicking in the light grey area will give you the option to "Show Hidden Tunes" if you ever want to show the hidden tunes in your LibraryThe FlashZilla Portal App receives updates and improvements over time and these steps may look slightly different to some users depending on which vehicle is plugged in.
