Flex Fuel SupportFlex Fuel is made possible by upgrading the fuelling system and adding an ethanol sensor. Benefits of ethanol is the cooling effect it has on the intake air temps. Lowering risk of knock, more efficiency during combustion, and the ability to advance timing even further to produce more horsepower. The true flex fuel tune allows the vehicle to self-adjust the power output based on the ethanol content in your fuel. Simply add E85 to your tank and let the vehicle do all the math to adjust timing and boost. MPI is required to go Flex!True Flex Fuel AdaptabilityOne of the standout features of our Tunes is its true flex fuel calibration. This cutting-edge feature allows your engine to adapt seamlessly to ethanol content ranging from E0 to E60. With the flexibility to use various ethanol blends, you can optimize your performance for your specific driving needs, whether it's on the track, the street, or somewhere in between. We have done extensive testing and have found that the power increase from adding ethanol is maximized at E60. Due to hardware limitations within the block, no additional power can be made beyond this ethanol content. We have limited the boost and ignition maps to stay within a safe range for longevity and reliability. Users may still use an ethanol content beyond E60, but will not see any additional power increases. To utilize the flex fuel features of this tune, you will need to have an ethanol sensor installed. The ECU will automatically detect if a sensor is installed and will adjust maps based on ethanol content. If you do not have an ethanol sensor installed, the map will not change from the 93 octane calibration.Required hardware upgradesDownpipe upgradeRequiredIntercooler upgradeRequiredIS38 turbo upgradeRequiredMPI (Multi Port Injection)Required (Files ready for 980cc injectors)Flex Fuel SensorRequiredLow Pressure Fuel Pump upgradeRequired (Hellcat 525/535 or similar)*Flex fuel files will work on both 1.8/2.0 MQB EA888.3 cars with an IS38 or larger turbo.
