Ever since Dieselgate, TDI owners have been trying to figure out a way to get their German SUV's to drive the way they had grown to love. After the fix, many owners were disatisfied with the way their trucks drove and the lack of performance. If you're a Malone Tuning fan, you already know we fixed the performance issues and offer some fantastic ECU options for you. But one sticking point has always been the transmission. For years, owners have been complaining about the way these trucks drive post-fix. The transmissions just don't seem to perform the way you'd expect them to with these new engine calibrations. There are a couple tuners who claim to have a solution, but everyone knows it's just a previous software revision from a pre-fix TCU calibration. Our Calibrators sought out to find a way to properly tune the TCU and give customers a proper solution that will enhance the driving characteristics of the very robust and reliable Aisin 1000. Our first order of business was to work with our engineers to figure out a way to write to the Aisin 1000 and not brick anything. We are now able to flash these transmissions via OBD using PCM Flash and CMD tools. The next order of business was to carefully tweak the parameters of the TCU to make it factory like in it's behaviour and still add some key performance characteristics to it. We've increased the torque limitations as well as painstakingly revised the shift pattern in both D and S modes. We're sure you will enjoy driving your SUV in any mode. We've also fine tuned the kickdown function for those left lane passes. The GO pedal now feels more connected to the powertrain than ever. Our BETA vehicles have gone through many revisions and several months of testing in various driving conditions to guarantee that this TCU tune gets the most out of your powertrain without loosing that OEM drivability you expect from a German automobile.
